Risk professionals are surrounded by data, analysis, complexity and, increasingly, AI. But creating impact still depends on something very human: our ability to connect with people. Storytelling can help you bring complex risk topics to life, communicate with greater clarity, and influence stakeholders. Because having the right answer matters, but so does your ability to make it land.

The speaker:

Antonie is an experienced coach, trainer, facilitator, guest speaker and actor. He is the founder of D&A Trainingen and also teaches as a guest lecturer at Maastricht University, the University of Amsterdam, Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University) and Nyenrode Business University. 

This storytelling workshop:

1. Helps you master the storytelling principles that can ease even the most difficult conversations. Compelling narratives can be a powerful tool to connect with and win over others.
2. Explores the emotional power of storytelling and how to structure your story with elements needed for an effective and compelling story. With a solid understanding of how stories can be used to elicit emotional responses, we’ll discuss how storytelling works as such an effective strategic communication tool.
3. Will not only be highly practical, but also very interactive. Participants will be practicing Storytelling and giving each other feedback.

And of course, we will finish with Drinks & Networking!

The event will be held in English and there will be a brief pre-work assignment for the workshop.

Price and further instructions

• You can sign up for the event via DABOR website (link below) latest by Wednesday 18 November 17:00. Registrations after this date may not be possible due to logistical reasons.
• There is a limited number of seats due to venue capacity – your registration does not constitute a confirmed spot. Timely before the event, the registered participants will receive an e-mail confirmation about their confirmed spot. The sooner your register, the higher chance you can join!  
• We encourage you to come by public transport, the venue is walking distance from Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena station. If you wish you arrive by car, please use public parking.
• Joining DABOR events is free of charge for people who are connected with DABOR as an individual participant or join on behalf of a corporate participant, since both pay annual contributions.
• For all others, joining an event one-off is of course possible. The costs are EUR 150. If this cost is applicable to you we will contact you about the payment shortly, but encourage you to consider joining DABOR as a regular participant with annual contribution – you will get access to much more!
