DABOR’s mission is to support, develop and promote the profession of risk manager and the specialist fields of operational and business risk management in order to ensure that the profession can provide the best possible service for businesses and society.
Our Vision
We assist risk managers who are responsible for operational and business risk management in organisations and provide a platform where they can improve their knowledge and expertise and develop professionally.
Our Values
Integrity
In our work, we serve the interests of society and of the business. If there is conflict between these, the interests of society prevail. We promote a code of practice and take action against members who break it.
Authority
We are an authority in the fields of business and operational risk. We closely monitor international and national developments, future regulations and current best practice and are a leading source of knowledge in the Netherlands in these areas.
Relevance
In order to communicate our mission and vision, we must be of relevance for many organisations in the Netherlands. This involves effectively engaging with the corporate world, through membership and mutual support, in order to operate effectively as a relevant professional body.
Independence
We focus on institutions that carry out risk management and support the various interests of corporate members, individual members, risk managers, consultants, suppliers and academics. We act in accordance with our mission as an independent institution that puts society’s interests first.
Learning and adapting
In our specialist field, the world is moving fast and we acknowledge the importance of keeping pace with it, both as an organisation and as risk managers. We assist our members in gaining awareness of relevant developments and preparing to pursue their role within these to the full.
